CARDXCARDS operates this website and online store, including all information, content, features, products, tools, and services made available through the website (collectively, the “Service”). Your access to and use of the Service is subject to these Terms of Service (“Terms”), as well as any additional policies referenced or linked on our website.

By accessing our website, creating an account, placing an order, or purchasing products from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or purchase products through our Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the website, including browsers, customers, vendors, merchants, and contributors of content.

Our online store is hosted on Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

However, product images may appear differently depending on your device, monitor, or display settings. Minor differences in color, appearance, or packaging may occur.

Trading card products may have characteristics that vary by product, set, manufacturer, printing, packaging, edition, language, or release.

We reserve the right to correct typographical errors, inaccuracies, omissions, pricing errors, availability information, and other errors at any time.

We also reserve the right to cancel an order if a product was listed with an obvious pricing, description, availability, or other material error, subject to applicable law.

SECTION 4 – TRADING CARD PRODUCTS

CARDXCARDS sells trading card products and related merchandise.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in the product description, products are sold according to the description and condition stated on the product page at the time of purchase.

For sealed trading card products, we do not guarantee the specific cards, pulls, rarity, value, grades, or market value contained within a sealed product unless specifically stated in the product description.

The monetary or collectible value of trading cards can change after purchase. Changes in market value, card prices, demand, grading results, personal preference, or buyer's remorse do not constitute a defect and do not qualify for a return or refund under our Return Policy.

Where applicable, any statements concerning authenticity, condition, edition, or product characteristics are based on information reasonably available to us and the product's description at the time of sale.

 

TRADING CARD PRODUCT CONDITION & AUTHENTICITY POLICY

At CARDXCARDS, we take the authenticity, condition, and accurate description of our trading card products seriously. This policy explains how we evaluate card condition, manufacturing defects, alterations, foil cards, and authenticity.

4a. PRODUCT AUTHENTICITY

CARDXCARDS is committed to offering legitimate and authentic trading card products.

We make reasonable efforts to source products from reputable suppliers and to verify the authenticity of products offered for sale.

Unless otherwise specifically stated in a product description, products sold by CARDXCARDS are represented as authentic products of the manufacturer, publisher, or brand identified in the product listing.

We do not knowingly sell counterfeit, fraudulent, or intentionally altered trading card products.

If you believe that you have received a product that may not be authentic, please contact us at info@cardxcards.com within 7 days of receiving your order. We may request photographs, videos, packaging information, order information, or other documentation necessary to evaluate the claim.

If CARDXCARDS determines that a product is not authentic due to an issue attributable to us, we will work with the customer toward an appropriate resolution in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy and applicable law.

4b. CARD CONDITIONING

The condition of an individual trading card is determined by the number, type, and severity of imperfections that the card exhibits.

Imperfections may result from play, handling, storage, shipping, or manufacturing and printing processes.

Examples of imperfections include:

  • Edge wear;

  • Corner wear;

  • Whitening;

  • Scratches;

  • Scuffs;

  • Surface wear;

  • Creases;

  • Bends;

  • Dents;

  • Printing defects;

  • Miscuts or shifting;

  • Foil imperfections; and

  • Other manufacturing or physical imperfections.

When evaluating a card, CARDXCARDS considers both the type and severity of imperfections, as well as the overall condition and integrity of the card.

We consider three primary aspects when evaluating the integrity of a card:

Structure

The physical structure, stability, and condition of the card and its cardstock.

Playability

The ability of the card to reasonably function as a game piece when applicable.

Authentication

The ability to reasonably verify the card as legitimate using applicable manufacturer markings, printing characteristics, security features, and other authentication indicators.

An imperfection that materially affects the physical integrity or authenticity of a card may result in the card being classified as Damaged, regardless of its other characteristics.

4c. NEAR MINT (NM)

Cards in Near Mint (NM) condition show minimal wear from handling, shuffling, or play.

A Near Mint card will generally have:

  • A clean overall appearance;

  • Crisp or nearly crisp corners;

  • Clean edges with minimal wear;

  • A generally clean surface; and

  • Few, if any, noticeable imperfections.

Minor imperfections may be present. For example, a Near Mint card may have slight edge wear, a very small amount of whitening, or a couple of minor surface imperfections.

The acceptable range of Near Mint condition may include cards with no visible imperfections as well as cards with a small number of minor imperfections.

Significant manufacturing defects, severe miscuts, major shifting, or other defects that materially affect the card may cause an otherwise Near Mint card to be classified as Damaged.

4d. LIGHTLY PLAYED (LP)

Cards in Lightly Played (LP) condition may show minor signs of handling or play.

These may include:

  • Minor edge wear;

  • Light whitening;

  • Minor scratches;

  • Light surface scuffs;

  • Minor corner wear; or

  • Other limited imperfections.

Noticeable imperfections may be present, but they should not be severe enough, individually or collectively, to substantially affect the card's overall condition or structural integrity.

Lightly Played cards may have several minor imperfections while remaining structurally sound.

4e. MODERATELY PLAYED (MP)

Cards in Moderately Played (MP) condition may show a noticeable amount of wear.

These cards may have:

  • More pronounced edge wear;

  • Surface wear;

  • Scratches or scuffing;

  • Whitening;

  • Bends;

  • Creases;

  • Corner wear; or

  • A combination of moderate imperfections.

Some bends, creases, or other imperfections may be acceptable within Moderately Played condition when they do not materially compromise the structural integrity of the card.

The overall number, severity, and combination of imperfections will be considered when determining whether a card falls within the Moderately Played category.

4f. HEAVILY PLAYED (HP)

Cards in Heavily Played (HP) condition show significant wear from handling, play, or storage.

These cards may exhibit:

  • Significant edge wear;

  • Extensive whitening;

  • Heavy surface wear;

  • Scratches or scuffing;

  • Creases;

  • Bends;

  • Significant corner wear; or

  • Multiple other imperfections.

Heavily Played cards may have numerous imperfections and substantial cosmetic wear.

However, the card must remain sufficiently intact to be reasonably handled and authenticated. A card with damage that materially compromises its physical structure may instead be classified as Damaged.

4g. DAMAGED

Cards in Damaged condition exhibit wear, defects, or alterations beyond the standards for Near Mint, Lightly Played, Moderately Played, or Heavily Played.

Damaged cards may include significant:

  • Border or edge damage;

  • Scratching or scuffing;

  • Creasing;

  • Bending;

  • Tears;

  • Splitting;

  • Peeling;

  • Water or liquid damage;

  • Other physical damage affecting the card's integrity; or

  • Significant manufacturing defects.

A card may be classified as Damaged when an imperfection materially affects its structural integrity, regardless of how the card would otherwise be classified.

Cards with foreign substances such as food, liquid, adhesive material, or other contaminants may be considered Damaged and may be rejected from sale depending on the nature and severity of the contamination.

4h. MANUFACTURING DEFECTS

Trading cards may occasionally contain manufacturing or printing defects.

Examples may include:

  • Miscuts;

  • Significant shifting;

  • Crimping;

  • Printing errors;

  • Ink issues;

  • Foiling issues;

  • Registration errors;

  • Cutting defects;

  • Packaging-related defects; or

  • Other manufacturing abnormalities.

Certain significant manufacturing defects may cause a card to be classified as Damaged, even if the card would otherwise meet the standards of another condition category.

The existence of a manufacturing defect does not automatically qualify an item for a return or refund. Customers should refer to our Returns & Refunds Policy for information regarding defective merchandise.

Manufacturing quality may vary between products, sets, print runs, and manufacturers. CARDXCARDS evaluates defects based on the individual product and the nature and severity of the defect.

4i. ALTERED CARDS

Cards that have been intentionally modified, altered, or marked may be classified as Damaged or otherwise identified in the product listing.

Examples include:

  • Signatures or autographs added after manufacture;

  • Stamps;

  • Paint;

  • Marker;

  • Ink alterations;

  • Altered artwork;

  • Writing;

  • Cutting or trimming;

  • Chemical or physical alterations; or

  • Other modifications made after the card's original manufacture.

Where applicable, an altered card may be listed with an appropriate description and photograph so customers can clearly understand the card's condition before purchasing.

4j. FOIL CARDS

Foil versions of trading cards are evaluated using the same general conditioning principles applied to non-foil cards.

Foil cards can, however, display certain characteristics that are more visible because of the reflective or layered nature of the card.

Examples may include:

  • Curling;

  • Foil lines;

  • Foil bubbling;

  • Speckled or uneven foiling;

  • Surface irregularities;

  • Printing variations; or

  • Other foil-specific manufacturing characteristics.

Foil cards may be more susceptible to curling or warping depending on the product, manufacturing process, storage conditions, and environment.

Foiling-related imperfections are evaluated based on their type, severity, and effect on the overall condition and integrity of the card.

A minor foil characteristic or manufacturing variation does not necessarily constitute a defective product.

4k. SEALED TRADING CARD PRODUCTS

Sealed products are sold in the sealed condition in which they are offered at the time of purchase.

Factory-sealed products may occasionally have minor packaging imperfections, including:

  • Small dents;

  • Minor scratches;

  • Scuffs;

  • Wrapping imperfections;

  • Slightly damaged corners;

  • Minor tears in external packaging; or

  • Other cosmetic packaging imperfections.

Minor cosmetic imperfections to packaging do not necessarily constitute a defective product.

Unless specifically stated in the product description, CARDXCARDS does not guarantee the specific cards, pulls, rarity, inserts, parallels, autographs, memorabilia, or other contents of a sealed product.

The contents of sealed trading card products are determined by the manufacturer.

4l. GRADING

Unless expressly stated otherwise, individual cards sold by CARDXCARDS are not professionally graded.

CARDXCARDS does not guarantee that an ungraded card will receive a particular grade from PSA, Beckett, CGC, SGC, or any other grading company.

Professional grading is an independent evaluation performed by the applicable grading company.

Differences between CARDXCARDS's stated condition and a subsequent professional grading result do not, by themselves, constitute a defective product.

 

 

SECTION 5 – ORDERS, PRICES, AND AVAILABILITY

All prices displayed on our website are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right to limit quantities, refuse orders, or cancel orders when permitted by applicable law.

An order placed through our website does not necessarily mean that the order has been finally accepted. We reserve the right to review and cancel an order before fulfillment for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Product availability issues;

  • Pricing or listing errors;

  • Suspected fraud or unauthorized transactions;

  • Suspected abuse of promotions or discounts;

  • Duplicate or unusually large orders;

  • Shipping or billing issues; or

  • Other circumstances permitted by applicable law.

If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will issue an appropriate refund to the original payment method, unless otherwise required or permitted by law.

CARDXCARDS does not accept returns, exchanges, refunds, or order cancellations except as expressly provided in our Returns & Refunds Policy or otherwise required by applicable law.

Because we sell trading card products, all sales are final. This policy helps us maintain the authenticity, legitimacy, and integrity of our merchandise and inventory.

If you receive a product that is defective, damaged, or materially incorrect, you must contact us within 7 days of receiving the order.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived or limited under applicable law.

SECTION 8 – SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

We will make reasonable efforts to process and ship orders according to the shipping information provided on our website.

Shipping and delivery estimates are estimates only and are not guaranteed unless expressly stated otherwise.

You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address.

If an order is returned to us because an incorrect or incomplete shipping address was provided, additional shipping charges may apply before the order can be reshipped.

Once an order has been delivered to the shipping address provided by the customer, the customer is responsible for promptly securing the package.

If your package arrives damaged, please document the condition of the package and contact us as soon as possible.

SECTION 9 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS

Our website may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, services, payment processors, applications, or tools.

Third-party services are operated by their respective providers and may be subject to their own terms and policies.
